Product description:
Tile Adhesive with ARDEX Weather Proof Technology that is resistant to almost all weather conditions.
ARDEX WEATHER PROOF TECHNOLOGY: Equipped for all weathers! High initial strength even at low temperatures, maximum resistance to freeze-thaw cycles, long working time even at high temperatures and resistant to driving rain after just 2 hours. With the innovative ARDEX X 90 MICROTEC3 flex adhesive, you are ideally prepared for the unpredictability of the weather. After all, weather conditions play a decisive role when working outdoors. But these are often unpredictable. This is why outdoor work always involves a certain amount of risk. Equipped with the new ARDEX WEATHER PROOF TECHNOLOGY, ARDEX X 90 offers maximum installation reliability even under difficult weather conditions. ARDEX X 90 also impresses with excellent processing properties such as full embedding without fluidised bed behaviour and variable consistency adjustment. ARDEX X 90 fulfils the requirements C2 FTE S1 according to EN 12004 / 12002 and is very low emission EC 1 PLUS R according to GEV EMICODE.
Cool weather is not the ideal condition for laying tiles and slabs on balconies and terraces. Nevertheless, laying under these conditions is often unavoidable. ARDEX X 90 is a cementitious laying mortar that fulfils the properties of a fast adhesive even in cool temperatures and can be walked on and grouted after approx. 3 hours. ARDEX X 90 therefore quickly provides a high level of bond strength even at low temperatures. In addition, ARDEX X 90 is equipped with the new MICROTEC3 technology and exceeds the C2 freeze-thaw requirements of EN 12004 many times over. This means that even frequent temperature changes around freezing point cannot damage the adhesive.
Very warm temperatures often prevail when laying balconies and terraces. These can be either air or substrate temperatures. Conventional fast-setting adhesives become even faster in this case and therefore harbour a great potential risk of subsequent damage due to the very short processing and laying time. Thanks to its special formulation, ARDEX X 90 retains a long working time for a rapid adhesive, even at high temperatures. The flooring can therefore be laid comfortably and safely even at high temperatures.
No damage caused by heavy rainfall. Even in the most glorious weather and sunshine, thunderstorms and rain showers can occur during installation on balconies and terraces. Such sudden and unexpected showers can cause the fresh adhesive to wash out various components during the setting phase and thus permanently disrupt or weaken the adhesive bond. ARDEX X 90 R is resistant to showers or driving rain after just 2 hours and therefore offers a further safety component for damage-free installation in outdoor areas.
